Police seeking driver who approached teen pedestrian

Redlands Police are investigating after a 16-year-old Redlands High School student reported to school security officers that he was approached by a man
who offered him a ride to school and became angry and verbally abusive when the boy refused.

The incident occurred about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, in the area of Pine Avenue and Tennessee Street. The teen reported he was walking to school
when he was approached by a man driving a gray or dark colored Toyota sedan.

The driver started talking to the teen and offered him a ride to school. When the teen refused the driver cursed at him and drove away. The driver is described as a white male between 40 and 50 with salt and pepper hair and wearing glasses.
